Opel Lotus Omega

The 6-cylinder 24-valve engine of the Opel Omega 3000 24v received a major make-over in England. Completely dismantled, a specific crankshaft and rods were added to it, as well as a dual supercharger, which turned a 3L engine into a 3.6L. It was no less powerful than the Porsche 993 Turbo! To allow for this kind of power, almost doubled compared to the Omega 3000 24V, the undercarriage was reinforced, as well as the brakes, with the inclusion of ventilated discs for the latter. The rear suspension was fitted with a limited slip differential as well as 275 size tires. A mere 950 Lotus Omega were produced, of which barely 59 were officially distributed in France by Opel; it is clear why this model has become a must-have for a true collector !
