Renault 20 TX

In 1975, to replace its legendary R16, Renault expands its range of two "big" cars, the R20 and the R30. The bodywork of the R20 is identical to that of the R30, with the exception that the radiator grille comprises of two almost rectangular shaped headlamps instead of four round ones. This model will evolve over time and in 1981 Renault will launch the R20 TX a more power variant that takes back the 2.2 liter engine and the gearbox of the R20 TS, the large family car, favoured by the French. Its equipment also corresponds to that of the TS, velvet seats, headrests front and rear, electronic tachometer, electric windows in the front doors... In 1983, the 20 and 30, after an 8-year career, will be replaced by the new top-of-the-range Renault 25.
