Citroën BX 16 S Blanc Meije 1989
With its rather controversial form, the BX remains nevertheless one of the icons of eighties sedans. Despite this, its cushy sedan image permanently headed towards a sportier look with its GT, Sport and GTI variants. In 1987 (5 years after its release) the BX saw the birth of its ultimate sport variant (apart for the BX 4TC), the 16 Soupapes (16V in English). With its 1.9L engine of 160hp (the same as the 405 Mi16 Peugeot), the BX 16 Soupapes held its ground against the best and brightest of its time, controversial form and all.
