The Audi RS2 Avant is a historic and revolutionary model for Audi. Developed in partnership with Porsche, this sporty station wagon adds a new dimension to the ageing Audi 80 S2 and tackles its rivals, the BMW E36 M3 and Mercedes-Benz C36 AMG, head-on. Porsche has transformed an Audi estate into an impressive 315bhp sports car. Even Walter Röhrl was seduced by this model, which launched a trend that is still very much alive today. The Audi RS 2 Avant is also the most Porsche of Audis. As well as the engine, it features a number of elements taken from the bodywork of the 911: mirrors, wheels and even indicators!
