Peugeot 205 GTI Gutmann
For those of you who read Option Auto (a French magazine) back in the eighties, the Gutmann name will probably remind you of a certain Kurt Gutmann. The latter, after having done a stint working with Talbot, turned his attention to Peugeot and its new 205 GTI. Understanding the potential of the car, he took it upon himself to make an even better version. He modified the suspensions, the front axle, created a specific bodywork kit, and finally took an interest in the engine, which he pushed from a mere 1.6L of 150 HP to an impressive 1.9L with 175 HP, making the GTI into something altogether different.
