Alpine A220 Courte Bleu Alpine 1969
The A220, designed for long-distance, did not escape the call of rally drivers, albeit with a few modifications such as adjustable wings, improved cooling with additional ventilation, as well as smaller carburettors. Its first rally was the “Criterium des Cevennes”, in southern France, with Jean Pierre Jabouille and Jean Claude Guenard driving. Unfortunately, due to an alternator malfunction they were forced to abandon the race.
