At OttOmobile, we are, above all, car enthusiasts (hence the brand name, in fact). So, an event as major as the Paris Motor Show was definitely worth a visit. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the sector’s very latest innovations, admire the concept cars, jot down new ideas and chat with fellow enthusiasts and manufacturers. Here’s a brief summary of our trip to the capital.

Iconic cars of yesteryear, reimagined in a modern style!
Launched twenty years ago by Fiat (and its 500), the neo-retro trend has never been stronger! The 2026 Paris Motor Show proves this with numerous concept cars inspired by classic flagship models. The star of the show is, in fact, one of them. It is the Citroën 2CV. One of the world’s most popular French cars is set to return to the limelight. The manufacturer with the chevrons has just unveiled its brand-new concept car in Paris. It’s a great way to take on Renault and its R5 e-Tech. In fact, the Turbo 3E version is currently on display in a stunning new plum colour. Why not add it to the collection? Let’s get back to the 2CV, presented in ‘saloon’ and ‘van’ versions. But it’s the city car version that’s drawing the crowds. With its eye-catching colour, its simple, very 1960s-style interior, and its plump, adorable design, it has everything it takes to charm and captivate. At Stellantis (the group that owns PSA and Fiat-Chrysler), they’ve gone all-in on neo-retro. So, at Fiat, it’s a concept car called the “Multiplay” that’s bringing the Multipla back with a modern twist. Halfway between a pick-up and an MPV, this spiritual successor doesn’t have an “easy-on-the-eye” design. It’s bound to make some people cringe! But perhaps in 30 years’ time it’ll become just as popular as its predecessor. We’ll talk about it again in three decades ;) At Peugeot, the e-T16 concept has decided to take on the R5 E-Tech Turbo 3E head-on. This concept car is very well done; we’re truly looking at a “2026” version of the 205 T16. However, we’re told there’s little chance of seeing it in production or on rally stages… What a shame! At Renault, they’ve unveiled the electric R8 Gordini and the E-Space. The former is as stunning as ever and would fit right in at OttOmobile. The latter is a modern and impressive take on the first Renault Espace! Finally, let’s mention Alpine, which hasn’t unveiled the future A110 but just its silhouette. The main attraction from the Dieppe-based brand is actually the A310 Concept! A truly impressive reinterpretation of the A310! We’ll let you discover it for yourselves in our photo gallery below :)

Iconic cars are making a comeback at the Paris Motor Show!

Whilst the Paris Motor Show is reserved for current car models, we enjoyed seeing some of the iconic models from the past again. In fact, some of these models are available here as scale models! At the Alpine stand, visitors could admire an A110 1600S, right next to its little sister, the 2017 A110. On the motorsport front, rally enthusiasts were in seventh heaven with the Ford Escort RS1600, the Ford RS200, Colin McRae’s Ford Focus WRC and the Škoda 130 RS. At Peugeot, the legendary 205 GTI was beautifully showcased on the brand’s stand. The same was true of the iconic DS 21 at Citroën. As we wandered through the aisles, we also came across a Renault 5 Turbo 2 and even a Venturi 500LM! A real journey back in time, by Zeus!
