Peugeot 604 GTI Gris Fumée Metal 1984
Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1975, the Peugeot 604 caused a sensation. This model marked the return of large sedans to Peugeot. A few years after the first oil shock, this bet was rather daring on the part of the French manufacturer. Designed by Pininfarina, this sedan offered a simple, sober and rather modern line for the time. The press and motorists were absolutely enthralled! After a good start during the first years of commercialization, sales had collapsed with the arrival of the 80s. In 1984, Peugeot had tried to relaunch its sedan with a surprising 604 Gti. Equipped with a 2.8-litre V6 PRV engine reconfigured by Volvo for the American market, this final version was the last stand of the 604.
