Volkswagen Golf Mk.2 GTI 16V Black L041 1989
The Volkswagen Golf, first of its name, had invented a patronymic that would quickly enter the hall of fame: GTI. These three magic letters were already legendary by the time the Mk2 came into being in the eighties. However, the GTI version, a tad too shy for many fans, was not particularly successful. Volkswagen remedied this when they brought out the VW Golf II GTI 16V in 1985. With more power but still as versatile, it quickly became the new head of the category that it had so proudly invented.
