Renault 8 Gordini 1300
Launched in June of 1962, the Renault 8 Gordini was one of the first French cars with four brake discs. Its rear-mounted engine (Sierra; also called Cléon-Fonte) is equipped with five bearings, which at the time was a novelty, but would quickly find its way into a number of cars until well into the Nineties. In 1966, it evolved, becoming the Renault 8 Gordini 1300 with its four headlights and larger rims. Its iconic two white strips on the rear bonnet could also be found on this latest form of the car.
