Introduced in 1975, the BMW 3 Series quickly became a success. In the 1980s, with the second-generation “E30,” the German manufacturer introduced a sporty version of its 3 Series: the M3. Once again, the model rapidly became iconic. Since then, every new M3 has been eagerly awaited by enthusiasts of the Bavarian brand.
In 2007, the fifth-generation 3 Series (E90) welcomed the fourth M3 version in its history. The Coupé variant (E92) also benefited from the transformation carried out by BMW M Motorsport. The car was lightened through the use of fiberglass, allowing it to fully exploit its V8 engine— a first for an M3!
This new powertrain produces 420 horsepower and gives the German rear-wheel-drive machine formidable performance, enough to challenge its German rivals from Audi and Mercedes-Benz. The G100 is a 1/12 scale model.
