The BMW E46 had the heavy task of succeeding the iconic E30 and E36, which had established the prestige of the Motorsport badge. This fourth generation presented itself as a Grand Tourer Coupé with very sleek and balanced lines. Launched in 1998, it met with immediate popular and critical acclaim. Numerous versions were produced, including the CS, which was reserved for the British market. Marketed in 2005, this Clubsport variation stood out thanks to equipment inherited from the CSL—including 19-inch wheels—and its exclusive Interlagos Blue shade. In the rest of the world, this special version was offered as an option bundle, the Competition Package.
