The BMW Z3 is a compact roadster in the spirit of the Z1. Launched ahead of the coupe version, the Roadster enjoyed immediate success! From its market debut, it was famously featured in the James Bond movie GoldenEye, driven by Pierce Brosnan—ideal exposure for the launch of the first BMW produced exclusively outside Germany and Europe. In fact, the Z3 roadster was built in the United States, its primary market. Within months, twice as many Z3s were sold as Z1s were in two full years!
