Citroën SM Sable Metalise 1974

The Citroën SM is the achievement of Citroën's "DSport" project. The takeover of Maserati by the French brand in 1969 gave the project a big boost. In 1970, at the Geneva Motor Show, Citroën made a big splash by presenting its top-of-the-range coupé: the SM (S Maserati). The atypical look of the SM immediately caught the attention of the journalists and the public. Unfortunately, the history of the Citroën SM came to an early end in 1975, becoming a collateral victim of the oil crisis and Citroën's near-bankruptcy. Nevertheless, the SM remains a mythical and emblematic car of Citroën. The most beautiful French car according to Jeremy Clarkson (Top Gear, The Grand Tour)!
