The Opel Commodore B followed the Commodore A, a six-cylinder variant of the Opel Rekord. It was launched into the market with a slightly larger body and became a top selling model. With an option of two different engines, a 2.5 L and 2.8 L, and horsepower ranging from 115 to 160 hp, combined with either a 4-speed manual transmission or 3-gear automatic, it is able to reach speeds of up to 200km / h. The car was available in either a 4-door sedan or a 2-door coupe.
