Peugeot 406 Ph.1 Coupe V6 Jaune Louxor 1997
Replacing the 405, the Peugeot 406 was born in 1995 and enjoyed a huge boost in popularity thanks to the film Taxi in 1998. Previously, in 1996, Peugeot surprised everyone by unveiling a Coupé version at the Paris Motor Show! Designed in partnership with the Italian company Pininfarina (Ferrari Testarossa, Ferrari 308, Lancia 037,…), this coupé took the automotive world by storm. This was an opportunity to reconnect with the tradition of Coupés that had been lost since 1983, proof that Peugeot was doing much better in the 1990s. Despite some criticism for its lack of sportiness, the orders were maxed out and the 406 Coupé was finally produced more than 107,000 times throughout its career which ended in 2004.
