Volkswagen Jetta Mk.1 1.8 GLI

The Volkswagen Jetta appeared in the range of the German manufacturer in 1979. This is the notchback version of the Golf. The success of the car was instantaneous and the Jetta became the best-selling European car in the United States. The GLI brought many improvements to the Jetta. The engine was increased to 90 horsepower and was paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The chassis benefitted from a sports suspension, stabilizer bars and ventilated disc brakes at the front.
