Volvo 480 Turbo

The worthy successor of the P1800 ES break, the Volvo 480 revolutionized the Volvo look when it came out in 1986. With its original and resolutely modern design, it is also the first traction of the brand. Targeting the US market, it adopted retractable lights to respect American norms where it would eventually never be sold, due to an unfavourable exchange rate. This Turbo version saw the light of day in 1988 with the inclusion of a turbo charger on the 4-cylinder 1.7L Renault engine, which gave it a total of 120 horsepower.
