The third generation of the Prelude went on sale starting in 1987. Visually, it is quite close to the previous one but benefits from the latest automotive technological developments created by the Japanese brand. In particular, the third-generation Prelude retains the pop-up headlights typical of that era. Several versions and engine options of the Prelude were marketed. The 2.0i-16 4WS stands out due to the four-wheel steering of the 4WS system developed by Honda for ten years—an innovative system that also allows the rear wheels to turn, ideal for tight corners, for example. Under the hood of this top-of-the-line trim, the front transverse four-cylinder engine produces 150 horsepower. This car proves to be very agile while remaining atypical in the JDM world.
