The first generation of the Swift was unveiled at the 2004 Paris Motor Show before going on sale immediately afterwards. It took over from the Cultus, which was already known as the Swift in certain regions. This new small city car fit wonderfully into the Japanese brand's lineup. Starting in 2005, a sporty variant was offered in Japan and Europe, soberly named the Swift Sport. Its subtle body kit gives it a more dynamic look reminiscent of rallying. In fact, the yellow color is directly inherited from the brand's sporting and rallying involvement at the time. This Swift Sport is equipped with a four-cylinder engine developing 123 horsepower. It also benefits from a sport chassis and a dual chromed exhaust tip. Behind the wheel, the Swift Sport charms drivers and evokes the golden era of hot hatches. This Japanese pocket rocket is understated yet devilishly effective.
