Christian A.'s collection
The starting point for my collection was the release in 2005 of the "Renault Collection" press editions, then in 2007 of "Mythique R4", "Alpine and Renault Sportives", and "4CV Renault". In 2017 "Passion Renault 4" was then published and in 2018 "Renault Utilities".
You have guessed the theme of my collection, all 1/43rd vehicles linked to the diamond brand. Flea markets, specialized stores, classified ads allowed me to collect 1010 miniatures.
What about Ottomobile then?
Ah the 1/18 scales, they are beautiful but they take up space!
I started with the Solidos and the Norevs and in 2014 I ordered my first OttOs.
To date I have 44 of my 110 1/18th models.
Since then I have been monitoring Le Club OttO and its new releases every month because Renault and Alpine are very well presented, respectively 165 and 61 models in your catalog.
OttOmobile models are always very neat, without opening, dust does not enter the passenger compartment. The price is low compared to certain 1/43 miniatures.
My favorite model is the Espace 3 which is the exact replica of the one I've been driving since 1999. I also have a 4L from 1968 and a Super 5 "Belle Ile", not yet released in 1/18 scale, you never know, you can dream a little...
A good number of collectors are nostalgic for the vehicles they have been around, owned or coveted.
They remind them of family stories , their childhood, vacations.
My first generation 7-seater Renault Névada, the Renault 14 and the Renault 19 Storia of the parents-in-law.
Thanks to Ottomobile, by publishing all these models you help pass on a rich automotive heritage to young people.
